What is WOW?
WOW – Women on the Way – embodies Andamur’s unwavering commitment to gender equality and diversity. It is an umbrella that spans all actions, projects and programmes designed to empower women in the industry and increase their visibility. From truck drivers to fleet managers, from entrepreneurs to business or association leaders, women in transport play a vital role in the sector and deserve every recognition and support. And that is precisely what WOW is determined to offer: recognition, support and a platform for female voices to be heard louder than ever.
What does it mean to be a WOW woman?
Currently, around a third of professionals in the transportation sector in Europe are women, and this number is gradually increasing.

An exclusive event that sparked a lot of interest and brought together industry leaders and experts to address the challenges and opportunities for women in this critical sector.
The conference highlighted the urgent need to promote gender equity and improve the visibility of women in the road transport industry, both nationally and internationally.
STRONG, CAPABLE TRUCKERS: WOMEN
Since 2019, at Andamur we have been working to make female professional drivers more visible through our #ImAFemaleTruckDriver campaign.
We are a megaphone to share their stories, their views on equality and the work-life balance, their lives on the road. Sometimes they tell their own stories, sometimes they’re told by their colleagues or even their children.
These awards recognise innovative management in the industry, outstanding careers and exceptional dedication to a life on wheels.
