On 6, 7 and 8 September, WOW – Women On the Way was present at the V Barakaldo Truck Festival, one of the most important meetings for transport and truck enthusiasts, held in Bilbao.
This event, organised by Club Camión Euskadi, gave us the opportunity to continue giving visibility and a voice to women who are making a change in the transport sector.
During these days, the WOW space became a meeting point where we shared stories and created connections to promote the importance of diversity and equality in this sector.
To further commemorate this initiative, we held a presentation to the public alongside women in transport, including “Trucker Women” Begoña Urmeneta and Ainhoa Egaña, furthering WOW’s commitment to female inclusion on the road.
Here, key issues such as the experience of being a woman in this sector, family reconciliation and the challenges they face were discussed. We were proud to have the support of so many professionals who, day after day, prove that transport is also their way.
We send a special thanks to all the people who approached us interested in our movement and, of course, to the WOW women who accompanied us during these days, making this festival another unforgettable experience.
